Series: The Yellow King 2.0
The Yellow King:2.0 continues the narrative of “The Yellow King”. The newer works Intertwine with the visual motifs of “The Yellow King “through intricate grid patterns, meticulously crafted to delineate the boundaries between the realms of the real and the imaginary. These grids serve as metaphors for the barriers that separate us from one another, highlighting the pervasive divisions that perpetuate strife and alienation. Embedded within the grided system of my work are symbols of neurons and gravity, signs that speak to the intricate web of connections that bind us together and the inexorable forces that shape our reality. Through these signs, I seek to explore the complexities of human consciousness and the gravitational pull of our darkest impulses. Finally, drawing inspiration from the subversive subculture of motorcycle gangs in the 1950s, I have created an interpretation of a specific bird, the Grackle. By labeling the Grackles as motorcycle birds, I delve into the psychology of group dynamics and the allure of belonging. Through this lens, I interrogate the seductive power of gang mentality and the insidious ways in which it perpetuates violence and exclusion.
